Get ready to turn off the lights this weekend.
Earth Hour will be held Saturday in 7,000 cities around the world in an effort to raise awareness about conserving energy and fighting climate change.
The World Wildlife Fund kicked off the annual candlelight hour in Australia in 2007.
Toronto signed on in 2008, making it the first Canadian city to participate in the event.
It'll be observed here in Thunder Bay between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
