A local group that helps people learn how to become vocal advocates has turned out its latest crop of graduates.
The New Directions Speakers School recently held its fifth graduation ceremony, with eight students finishing the program.
The school helps people with disabilities or injured workers learn leadership skills and develop their public speaking abilities.
The students picked a social justice issue and took to the podium, telling a panel of citizens and judges their story.
From speakers school, the graduates move on to do presentations with the Alumni group. The next course begins in February.
