It looks a lot more like Christmas than it does Easter in Thunder Bay. Nevertheless, the annual Easter egg hunt at Gammondale Farm went on as scheduled as families braved the weather conditions on Saturday. In addition to scouring the grounds for Easter eggs, children got to meet with not only the Easter bunny but some furry rabbits in the animal barn. There was also egg decorating, face painting and food available in the warm shelter of the cabin. Gammondale Farm has been hosting Easter activities for nearly 10 years. The students from the Grade 8 class at Westmount Public School were responsible for organizing many of the activities. The intense winter weather from the morning but a bit of a damper on the event but organizers were hopeful traffic would pick up as the day went on and the weather cleared up.
