THUNDER BAY -- Canadian Olympian Clara Hughes has been riding her bike across the country for 56 days now, raising awareness for Mental Health.
Thanks to some proactive work by Childrens Centre Thunder Bay, this city will be one of her stops.
Hughes is riding her bike to try and get a conversation started about mental health and eliminate the stigmas.
The Childrens Centre decided to start celebrating Clara's arrival early, by having their staff bike to work Thursday in support of Hughes’ Big Ride.
Diane Walker of the Childrens Centre says she's excited that Hughes has gotten the wheels turning in the conversation about mental health.
Clara Hughes will be in Thunder Bay from June 19 to 21, and tickets to see her at the Community Auditorium are now on sale.
