THUNDER BAY - The city's annual Spring Up to Clean Up campaign is well under way.
A youth group from a local church has partnered with the Waterfront District BIA to clean up the streets in the downtown North Core.
Nearly a dozen teens from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gathered at the Waterfront BIA office last night.
The group spent over an hour picking up litter from the streets, as part of their weekly service project.
Coordinator Donnalee Morettin says this event is just one of the few planned for the Spring Up to Clean Up in the North Core.
Another local clean-up effort is planned for this evening in the Heron Street area, organized by SHIFT Thunder Bay and Evergreen a United Neighbourhood.
