THUNDER BAY - NorWest Community Health Centre has teamed up with Lakehead Public Schools to host their 5th annual Rural Health Fair.
On Saturday, attendees could browse the local booths at Kakabeka Falls School and attend informational workshops including financial planning, fire prevention and Rural Cupboard Food Bank.
This is the first time NorWest has partnered with Lakehead Public Schools to host the annual fair.
Organizer Kristin Shields says the event has grown over the years and this year they have more than 30 exhibitors, as well as workshop presenters.
Along with 13 students from Kakabeka Falls School who helped with the event by volunteering.
There was even a market where attendees could buy local products.
Shields says the fair attracted nearly 300 people last year. They're hoping even more will attend this year.
