THUNDER BAY - The local chapter of the MS Society of Canada has honoured one exceptional father for his work with the organization for the second year in a row.
Long-time MS Society volunteer Bob Larocque is the charity's 2016 Father of the Year.
The former city police officer called it an overwhelming honour to be recognized for his efforts.
Larocque first got involved with the MS Society after his son was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a number of years ago.
Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world with an estimated 100-thousand Canadians living with the disease.
