THUNDER BAY - Thousands of people are packing the grounds at Fort William Historical Park this weekend, as day one of Fort Fest kicked off Friday night.
Among the bands on stage at the classic rock festival were Sass Jordan, Platinum Blonde and Starship.
Organizers estimate around 4,000 people were in attendance for the opening night, and about 6,000 or more are expected Saturday night.
Fort general manager Sergio Buonocore said the festival has become one of the biggest summer concerts in Northern Ontario.
Day Two of Fort Fest gets underway at noon Saturday with The Trews, Tom Keifer, and The Cult, closing out the show.
