THUNDER BAY -- A new partnership between three local organizations is resulting in some fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables for the Regional Food Bank this summer.
This new garden is located at the Administrative office for the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority.
It's being used by the RFDA as well as Community Living Thunder Bay.
They're growing everything from peppers and pumpkins to tomatoes and watermelons, in hopes of providing some great food throughout the summer and into the fall.
Public Relations Officer for the LRCA, Ryan Mackett said it feels great to help give back to the community.
Mackett added that they hope to continue this partnership once again next year.
